Gigsterr Safety Tips

General Safety Tips

  1. Keep Personal Details Private
Avoid sharing your phone number or personal routines unless absolutely necessary.

  2. Never Meet Alone If Avoidable

    • Bring a friend or trusted person with you.

    • Let someone know where you’re going and who you’re meeting.

When a Gig Starts

  • Verify Identity
Ensure the photo sent to you matches the person who arrives.
For your peace of mind, you may take a picture of the person who shows up.

  • Security Code Confirmation
You must provide a security code to the Gigsterr Provider, which they will enter into their app. This confirms that both parties are engaging with the correct person.

Home-Based Services

  1. Secure Valuables
Lock away cash, electronics, important documents, and other valuables during in-home visits.

  2. Use Security Cameras
Consider installing front-door and indoor cameras. Even non-functioning cameras can act as a deterrent.

  3. Limit Access
Do not allow unfamiliar workers to freely roam your home. Keep unused rooms closed off.

  4. Schedule During Daylight Hours
Whenever possible, book appointments during the day.

In Case of Emergency

  1. Emergency Contacts
Keep local emergency numbers and trusted contacts saved and easily accessible.

  2. Install Safety Apps
Use apps that offer panic buttons or location tracking features.

  3. Know Exit Routes
Be aware of all exits in your home or vehicle and have an escape plan ready.

After the Gig

  1. Inspect Work Before Provider Leaves
Review the work while the provider is still present.
Take photos or videos as proof of the completed job.

  2. Leave an Honest Review
Share accurate feedback on performance, professionalism, and safety to help others make informed decisions.

  3. Report Suspicious Behavior
Notify the Gigsterr platform or local authorities of any concerning incidents to help protect the community.
